Your location stays on your device
We use your location to show nearby flares, but it's never stored on our servers.
Plans don't live forever
Flares auto-expire two hours after they start, and data is removed after 30 days.
Block instantly, delete completely
Blocking removes someone everywhere. Deleting your account wipes your data across thirteen systems.

What is Flare?
Flare is an iOS app for making spontaneous, real-life plans. Drop a flare with a place, time, and activity; invite friends or open it up to nearby people; track RSVPs and chat about the meetup — all without starting a new group chat.
Is Flare free?
Yes. Flare is free to download and use on iOS 17 and up.
Where is Flare available?
Flare is currently available on the App Store in the United States and Canada.
Can people see my exact location?
No. Your location is used on your device to surface nearby flares — it's never uploaded or stored. The location of a flare you create is only visible to people you invite (or, for public flares, people nearby).
What happens if I tap an invite link without the app installed?
You'll be sent to the App Store to download Flare. After you install and sign in, tap the same invite link again and we'll add the friend.
What if someone is being a problem?
Tap their profile and block them — they disappear from your map, friends list, comments, and search. We also moderate content automatically and review every report.
